Welcome :

We live in the lovely village of Kesh situated on the edge of Lough Erne, set in rural County Fermanagh, in the north west of Ireland.

A view from the top of Lough Navar Forest Park We usually arrange a number of home exchanges each year. We are interested in short breaks within Ireland / UK throughout the year and abroad during the rest of the year. We would like an exchange to Western Australia for the summer 2012 to visit our daughter but are also looking for a short break (no specific location) at Easter 2012.

We enjoyed our stay a lot! It’s an ideal spot from which to explore the peacefulness and beauty of the Lough Erne region on a sunny day whether by car, on the bike , on foot, while boating the wonderfully varied loughs or visiting one of the stately homes.

We also found much to discover further afield: Donegal and its beaches and the treasures of Ulster’s northwestern coastline.

Or then we whiled away our time in their pleasant home surrounded by countryside and within walking distance of Kesh. We just loved their sun-room – which even features a cosy fireplace, should the weather turn nasty.

Communication before our exchange was excellent. We were lucky enough to meet the Walkers at the airport – which was a most pleasant beginning of a very enjoyable holiday. We were provided with ample information about the area at their home – and we had the pleasure of meeting their delightful mothers for a chat over tea – including delicious home-baked scones!

Thanks a lot, Mervyn and Adele, for a most successful exchange!

In fact it was definitely one of the best exchanges we have ever had. We are very experienced home exchangers with almost 30 exchanges during the last 20 years.

Our home is one kilometre outside the village and close to Lough Erne. There is plenty to do and see in Fermanagh – Belleek Pottery, Devenish Island, Castle Archdale, Marble Arch caves, County town of Enniskillen with the award winning Ardhowen theatre, National Trust properties such as CastleCoole, Crom and Florencecourt, ruins of castles, pony trekking, golf, fishing, water sports and walking.

A path in Castle Caldwell If this is not enough to keep you occupied our home is also ideally situated to tour the rest of Northern Ireland – Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills distillery, Ballintoy Harbour, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Sperrin and Mourne mountains, Ulster American Folk Park, Glens of Antrim, Londonderry.

Ballintoy Harbour - North Coast We also live 10 kilometres from County Donegal and close to Sligo and the west of Ireland. Belfast is 2 hours by car and 2.5 hours to Dublin.
Should you wish to travel a little further afield there are cheap flights www.ryanair.com or www.easyjet.com to England and Scotland.

If you enjoy comfortable surroundings with peace and tranquility yet close enough to beautiful sights and a wide range of activities, then why not contact us to discuss an exchange.

A car is provided in the exchange arrangements but drivers must be under 70 years of age and have a clean driving licence. Have a look at the links on the left to find out more about us, our home and area.

We also have a loveable Cavalier King Charles dog called Jasper which we would like you to look after. If this is a problem please contact us anyway.
