We live in County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland and one mile from the County Donegal border with the Republic of Ireland. Our home overlooks Lough Erne and is close to the villages of Pettigo, Kesh and Belleek.
It’s official! Lonely Planet has named Ireland as one of the Top 10 countries to visit in 2015.
We usually arrange a number of home exchanges each year. We are interested in short breaks within Ireland / UK throughout the year and abroad during Easter and Summer. We have exchanges organised for July and August 2015. We are also open to offers for long weekends so please feel free to contact us. From September 2015 we will no longer be restricted to school holidays and will be available to travel at any time so please contact us if you are interested in an exchange. We also house and pet sit.
Our home is situated We are 8 miles from the villages of Kesh and Belleek and 3 miles from Pettigo. We enjoy spectacular views over Lough Erne in Northern Ireland. There is plenty to do and see in Fermanagh – Belleek Pottery, Devenish Island, Castle Archdale, Marble Arch caves, County town of Enniskillen with the award winning Ardhowen theatre, National Trust properties such as CastleCoole, Crom and Florencecourt, ruins of castles, pony trekking, golf, fishing, water sports and walking.
If this is not enough to keep you occupied our home is also ideally situated to tour the rest of Northern Ireland – Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills distillery, Ballintoy Harbour, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Sperrin and Mourne mountains, Titanic Quarter Belfast, Ulster American Folk Park, Glens of Antrim, Londonderry. Many of the scenes in the series Game of Thrones and the new Dracula film were filmed in Northern Ireland.
We live a few kilometres from County Donegal; close to a number of beautiful beaches and to Sligo and the west of Ireland. Belfast is 2 hours by car and 2.5 hours to Dublin.
Should you wish to travel a little further afield there are cheap flights www.ryanair.com or www.easyjet.com to England and Scotland.
