We live in County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland and one mile from the County Donegal border with the Republic of Ireland. Our home overlooks Lough Erne and is close to the villages of Pettigo, Kesh and Belleek.
It’s official! Lonely Planet has named Ireland as one of the Top 10 countries to visit in 2015 and County Fermanagh has been voted the best place to live in the UK for 2 years out of the last 3!
We usually arrange a number of home exchanges each year. We are interested in short breaks or longer stays within Ireland / UK or abroad at any time of the year so please feel free to contact us. We also house and pet sit.
We are 3 miles from Pettigo and 8 miles from the villages of Kesh and Belleek. We enjoy spectacular views over Lough Erne in Northern Ireland. There is plenty to do and see in Fermanagh – Belleek Pottery, Devenish Island, Castle Archdale, Marble Arch caves, County town of Enniskillen with the award winning Ardhowen theatre, National Trust properties such as CastleCoole, Crom and Florencecourt, ruins of castles, pony trekking, golf, fishing, water sports and walking.
If this is not enough to keep you occupied our home is also ideally situated to tour the rest of Northern Ireland – Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills distillery, Ballintoy Harbour, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Sperrin and Mourne mountains, Titanic Quarter Belfast, Ulster American Folk Park, Glens of Antrim, Londonderry. Many of the scenes in the series Game of Thrones and the new Dracula film were filmed in Northern Ireland.
We live a few kilometres from County Donegal; close to a number of beautiful beaches and to Sligo and the west of Ireland. Belfast is 2 hours by car and 2.5 hours to Dublin. There is also an excellent bus service direct from Dublin airport to one of our local towns where you can be collected and brought to our home.
Should you wish to travel a little further afield there are cheap flights www.ryanair.com or www.easyjet.com to England and Scotland.
If you enjoy comfortable surroundings with peace and tranquility yet close enough to beautiful sights and a wide range of activities, then why not contact us to discuss an exchange. (Our dog who appears in some of the photos is unfortunately no longer with us).
A car is provided in the exchange arrangements but drivers must be under 70 years of age and have a clean driving licence. Insurance runs for a maximum of 30 days. Have a look at the links on the left to find out more about us, our home and area.
